The Kansas City Lyra Chapter 2025-2026 competition will be held virtually with video submission in April. Levels I - VI range from early beginner to advanced, and are open to students ages 5 to 18. It is up to you and your teacher to decide which level is appropriate. Levels may be repeated. Students should play the listed repertoire piece from memory. They can still participate if the piece isn’t memorized, but they will not receive any points in the memorization category.

 

Level I: Jane Weidensal Lullaby for Violet (First Grade Pieces for the Harp)

 

Level II: Hasselmans Petit Berceuse (Harp Olympics or separately)

 

Level III: Susann McDonald Russian Lullaby (Graded Recital Series 3)

 

Level IV: Van Veachton Rogers Valse Isabel (Suzuki 3)

 

Level V: Salzedo Suite of Eight Dances Tango (Suzuki 3 or separately)

 

Level VI: Marcel Grandjany Automne 

 

Young Adult (25 maximum age): Handel Concerto in Bb first movement only, any edition
